David recently returned from shooting on location in Micronesia as a correspondent and writer for the new PBS NOVA science magazine program, ScienceNow!. Look for his segment on the Science of Obesity airing in July, 2005. ALSO, David has just finished a segment on brain implants for NPR's Morning Edition that is a "reported commentary", a new style of commentary that combines a reported piece with opinion. Look for this to air in mid-March on Morning Edition.

David received the prestigious AAAS Science Journalism Award for best magazine story, 2004, given by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, for the article “DNA as Destiny”, in Wired.

BIOAGENDA GOES NON-PROFIT
BioAgenda -- co-founded by David -- enters its second year after a successful first year having recently been provisionally approved by the IRS as a nonprofit, 501 c(3) corporation. BioAgenda is designed as an independent, journalistic program that gathers scientists, journalists, policy makers, business leaders, advocates, critics, and artists representing all points of view on issues ranging from stem cells to drug pricing. David is the unpaid founder and editorial director in charge of content and educational activities.
