"Experimental Man" in France & Iceland
On May 13, David joins his parents and his "old world" family for lunch in France, and a visit to the ancestral home near Rouen. From David: "My
mother's lineage as a DuBose (French: DuBosc) goes back to nobility in Normandy, and she has discovered descendants who come from our
common ancestors. As part of my new book I'm going to collect a few skin cells from my relations and test us all to see if we are indeed related.
Also in May I'm traveling twice to Iceland to visit deCode Genetics, which has agreed to run an extensive sequencing of my DNA for the book. I’ll
drop in first to provide blood for the test and then later to get the results."
